Improv 1 (Chatswood – Tuesday 6 August 2024)

This is our awesome 9 week beginners’ class and the start of our improv programme, introducing improv and improvisation. Never done improv before? This is the place to start!

Uncover the inner workings of improvisation and spontaneity, unlocking skills you never knew you had. Gain confidence, adaptability, improved listening and communication skills, and a positive, proactive approach to the unknown. You’ll reconnect with the joy of childhood, make new friends, and be funnier!

We introduce improvisation, confidence skills, storytelling and comedy, presentation skills, and the beginnings of improv comedy. All in a fun, stress-free, and practical environment, designed for first-timers of all ages and ability, from the reserved to the outgoing. (No experienced improvisers are allowed! No natural talent is required!)

This class is exclusive to AOI. No other school simplifies improvisation for newcomers like we do. It’s no surprise when our principal literally wrote the book on improvisation. Join us and embark on a transformative journey into the world of improv!

Every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 9pm (running for 2.5 hours), 6, 13, 20, 27 August, 3, 10, 17, 24 September, 1 October 2024.

• Requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Requires fluency in conversational English.
• Must not have prior improvisation experience. (contact us if unsure)
• You must attend the first four weeks, and at least 8 of the 9 weeks, as each week builds on the previous week.
• We often run multiple classes at the same time, so please contact us directly if you wish to be in the same class with another student.
